About Baz

I'm currently a trainee counsellor, on a Humanistic Counselling postgraduate course in York.
Additionally, I have a level 3 certificate in Counselling Skills (2023), a level 5 certificate in Mental Health Studies (Open University, 2012) and a Masters degree in Psychology (University of Bradford, 2010).

Whilst studying, I work part time in several mental health roles across West Yorkshire.

I previously worked in mental health for over a decade:
- providing one-to-one mental health crisis support (mainly in person, but also on the 'phone);
- as a mental health housing support worker;
- and a mental health group facilitator.

I had a previous career in electronic engineering and am a keen musician (mainly percussive instruments).
